InterContinental Hotels & Resorts will venture into Morocco for the very first time. The new-build resort development in Marrakech is scheduled to open in the first quarter of 2011 and InterContinental is working closely with developer Groupe Cadex to create the finest resort in North Africa. The opening of the InterContinental Marrakech Resort & Spa will further establish the hotel brand as a benchmark of quality and luxury around the world. Marrakech has fast growing international appeal and is now competing alongside main stay European destinations such as Prague, Barcelona & Rome.
